New! New! New! Our class now has a geocities site to which one can upload hotpotatoes .htm files and they work on the internet.

Yes, I was able to register for a site on geocities. You can go to www.geocities.com and log in and upload your hot potatoes .htm files.
There are instructions at our angelfire site that tell you how to upload and make a link on your home page. When you make the link to your home page, you have to write the complete name of the geocities site (which has almost the same name as our Angelfire site, minus the "art3/") AND the name of the file you uploaded WITH its .htm suffix.

A slight change in the instructions for jquiz and jcloze

There is a slight change in the handwritten instructions I gave you in class for uploading JQuiz and JCloze. It doesn't work when you upload the yourname3.htm. You have to upload the yourname3.jqz file instead.

Go to www.angelfire.com, put in the User ID and Password, and go to Web Shell, as I said. But in Browse, put your jqz or jcz file from the desktop, not the finished htm file. Then click upload.

Then make a link by selecting some text on your home page with the picture and going to insert hyperlink. You should find yourname3.jqz file with the little colored icon in the window. If you don't find it in the window type in yourname3.jqz.

I will find your jqz file, open in save it as an interactive hotpotatoes htm file for the internet and upload it to my university of Michigan server and make a link to your home page. It is the advertisements on Angelfire that are interfering with the hotpotatoes interactive files.

I wish to express my apologies to those of you who lost a lot of time trying to get the interactive hotpotatoes file to work on angelfire.
